St. Patrick's Day at City Square Cafe Serves Homemade Corned Beef and Cabbage

City Square Café in Old Town Manassas, Va. is featuring an all- day celebration with an Irish pub bar and traditional corned beef and cabbage with parsley potatoes for $16.99 per person, not including tax and gratuity. The St. Patrick’s Day special will be featured on St. Patrick’s Day, Thurs., Mar. 17 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Live entertainment will be offered from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. with traditional Irish performances. The Year of the Business celebrates the Asian Lunar New Year, celebrating the Rabbit.  The event includes networking, seated dinner and entertainment from various Asian cultures, including a troupe of Indian dancers and a Chinese martial arts display.  The event is hosted by the Asian Business Committee of the Dulles Regional Chamber of Commerce.

The event will be tonight, February 10, from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at the Korshi Restaurant, which is located at 5728 Pickwick  Road in Centreville.

IHOP restaurants in the DC area will celebrate Halloween a little early this year, offering kids 12 and under a free Scary Face Pancake as part of a national No Tricks – Just Treats program designed to provide kids with a safe and fun Halloween event.  The “design-your-own” Scary Face Pancake includes an oversized signature buttermilk pancake with a whipped topping mouth and strawberry nose, served with two mini OREO® cookies and candy corn on the side to allow kids to create their own Halloween hotcake. 

IHOP wants to provide trick or treaters with a safe and fun Halloween celebration that they can enjoy with friends and family as part of the company’s ongoing effort to give something back to the communities in which it operates.

Smart Markets to Continue Through October 29

Smart Markets Inc., founded in early 2008 by Jean Janssen, is the newest group of farmer’s markets to the Northern Virginia area. Janssen herself has been a resident of Northern Virginia for 25 years. These markets serve Centreville, Fairfax Corner, Gainesville, Herndon, Oakton and Reston and provide guaranteed producer-only farmers’ markets.
